PEDRO MARTINEZ When healthy, he is the most dominating pitcher in many years. He was nagged by minor injuries late last year, but hey... he's only 175lbs. I know... what about the Unit? Johnson really struggled down the stretch. His ERA for the final two months of the season? A concerning 4.11... and he was healthy.

Last year... my pick for the "sleeper of the year" was K.C. firstbaseman Mike Sweeney. So what did he do? Top 10 in Batting Average, RBI's and was close to that in runs. He also just missed the 30 homerun plateau.
